TAKE YOUR PRACTICE TO THE NEXT LEVEL

This is the perfect opportunity to bridge your understanding of neuroscience with your clinical acupuncture practice.

This 2-day hands-on Neuropuncture workshop is packed with neuroscience research and evidenced-based clinical Neuropuncture treatment prescriptions specifically focused on the Mental Health module. This module will include anxiety disorder, depression disorder, insomnia and PTSD.

Bart Vermilya, Neuropuncture Instructor-in-training,  will examine and teach the Neuropuncture Foundations including the Neuropuncture Trinity (the 5 Neuropuncture neurophysiological mechanisms, the 5 Neuropuncture treatment Principles, and the 5 Neuropuncture Electrical Techniques) as it pertains specifically to Mental Health. The goal of the Neuropuncture Trinity is to give the practitioner the tools to utilize 21st-century sciences to best communicate, and understand, exactly how acupuncture provides its profound widespread neurophysiological effects.

Bart Vermilya, L.Ac., CN

Neuropuncture Instructor in training

High stress often has us searching for ways to destress. Bart Vermilya chose martial arts to help him decompress from his high stress job. Martials arts, while providing some of the stress relief he was looking for, also became more competitive and led to a serious injury. It was at this point that Bart decided to try Chinese Medicine as a way to treat the injury.

The relief and healing he experienced led him to explore just how Chinese Medicine worked to help the body heal itself. As a civil engineer and telecommunications analyst, Bart was trained to solve issues in complex systems. The body as a complex system where interconnected problems need to be resolved drew Bart to Chinese Medicine and its formations and inner workings and changed his career path to acupuncture.

Bart received his Master’s Degree from the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture (PIHMA) and is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Michigan. In addition, he has training in Tui Na (Chinese style massage) and Seifukujitsu (“say-fu-ku-jitsu”) which is a Japanese style of restorative body work used by martial artists to recover from injuries.

Bart Vermilya has been studying Neuropuncture for over 3 years and has completed his Level-One Clinical Neuropuncture in the summer of 2022.  Bart was a very strong student of Neuropuncture from the beginning and quickly grasped the neuroscience acupuncture concepts.  He has been in the Instructor training program since his certification and Neuropuncture, Inc. is proud and excited to have Bart on our team and committed to teaching this exciting Neuropuncture system and the new field of electrical acupuncture neuromodulation.

Bart enjoys teaching Martial arts, Tai Chi, and Qi Chong, and spending time outdoors camping and hiking. And above all, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

“Neuropuncture training vastly outperforms my traditional acupuncture training. Emphasis on research, clinical outcomes, and the scientific underpinnings of acupuncture through a neuroanatomical mindset sets Neuropuncture apart from traditional training in a number of ways. Chief among them is giving me a firmer grasp on the language and science of acupuncture that allows me to effectively communicate with other healthcare professionals in hospitals or private medical clinics. By viewing acupuncture through the lens of Neuropuncture, I am able to address my patient’s conditions with a greater degree of accuracy and efficacy than with the techniques I was taught in school.”

“I've been using Neuropuncture in my practice solidly for about a month now, and one of the great things I've noticed is many of the patients that I've treated in the past are starting to come back in for treatment due to someone talking about their treatment with me. My clinic has been built entirely from word of mouth, and at the moment it feels like this has been supercharged. I can only put it down to me loving doing Neuropuncture so much and getting some really positive results.”
