Like so many in this area, Dr. Anca Marinescu is a New York City transplant. Her acupuncture practice began in Manhattan, NY in 2005, and she started providing care to Pike County residents on a part-time basis over 10 years ago. Part-time soon turned into full-time, and she moved her practice to Milford, PA in late 2016.
In private practice since 2005 with a passion for Integrative Medicine. Dr. Anca Marinescu completed her Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MSOM) degree at the renowned Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York with extensive hands-on training under master practitioners of several acupuncture styles. After graduating with honors, she interned at the International Acupuncture Training Institute in Beijing, China with clinical rounds in two hospital acupuncture departments.
She was later selected by St. Vincent Hospital in New York City and The Chinese Medical Science Foundation as an Acupuncture Fellow in one of the first hospital-based Fellowships treating inpatients here in the US. The year-long integrative program served the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department, hospital staff as well as outpatients with musculoskeletal and neurological complaints.
Dr. Marinescu later earned the Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. More recently, she completed a rigorous Certification in Neuropuncture, further enhancing her ability to treat patients with modern, evidence-informed, clinically-proven treatments.
