My passion in my professional life is to help bring acupuncture into the center of mainstream medicine. I do this through educating and providing neuroscience acupuncture training and treatments that are neuroanatomical evidence-based, published research supported, and clinically proven. Offering the best quality of integrated, scientific, Traditional Chinese Medicine to the public is quintessential. This includes strategically integrating traditional Chinese medical philosophy with our Western medical scientific analytical mindset in the area of neuroscience and biochemistry. Grasping a firm understanding of Traditional Chinese medicine, in its application through clinical experience and researching the Chinese medical classics, while studying neurophysiology and other western medical sciences, to identify and strengthen the benefits of acupuncture while bridging the gap between Western medicine and 21st century acupuncture.

Founder-creator/ President

An organization devoted to the research and education of neuroscience electroacupuncture while creating and researching new treatment prescriptions of electroacupuncture that are evidenced-based and reproducible in a clinical setting. Neuropuncture is a special acupuncture system created from the 20+ years of studying and researching neuroscience acupuncture and applying the findings clinically, with great success.  This system was developed and now taught by Michael D. Corradino, and other certified Neuropuncture Instructors. Neuropuncture organization is also devoted to groundbreaking electro-acupuncture research in the area of neurodegenerative diseases, spinal cord injury, stem cell proliferation, and opioid receptors and addiction. Michael offers Neuropuncture human cadaver lab training at medical surgical centers to expose our profession to the highest level of medical training.  He has had practitioners travel from all around the world to attend these highly acclaimed cadaver workshops.

International teaching: Dr. Corradino has been honored to teach all over the world including Israel, New Zealand, Australia, Denmark, Belgium, China, and all over North America by professional organizations.

This is a Governor appointed position, with Senate approval.  It has a 2-4 year term. There are only 3 licensed practitioners on the board and we over see the entire acupuncture and Chinese medicine industry for the State of California.

Treat clients with TCM and Neuropuncture 2-3 times per week. Assess and provide integrative solutions for optimal health and longevity. Developed the “Anmien”, sleep program. Lecture weekly on the topic of Chinese medicine solutions and theory for improved quality sleep. Formulated an exclusive product line of Nutraceuticals infused with Chinese herbal formulas for their retail store. 

Palomar Health’s Center for Integrative Medicine and Wellness (2010-2015), Poway, Ca.

North County Integrated Acupuncture Center signed a contract with Palomar Health Hospital organization (PH) to be their center for integrative medicine with exclusive rights to provide our services of acupuncture and massage to their employees and patients.

Located inside the Women’s Pomerado Outpatient Pavilion.  This is an integrated all-Natural medical center whose mission is to extend our support in the interest of establishing relationships with all different fields of Western medicine and create a holistic approach of care for our patients. Here at North County Integrated Acupuncture Center we integrate various fields of natural medicine including acupuncture, various types of massage, herbal medicine, nutraceuticals, lifestyle and diet modifications, nutrition and detoxification programs, Neuro feedback and hypnotherapy in concert with patients that may be on multiple medications and a history of or facing surgery.

Taught the Orthopedic and Neurology courses for the Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine program, where I taught many clinically applicable techniques like, advanced Tui Na (Chinese bone setting), Neuropuncture, Teh te ke-TCM herbal traumatology and currently teaching the Integrated Pain Medicine class for the Master’s program. I was the clinical supervisor of the student interns, Doctorial students, and clinic assistants at the college clinic. He has lectured on the topics of traditional Chinese medicine, Orthopedic Neurological Evaluation (part I), Treatment of Cardiology with TCM, and gastrointestinal diseases.

This medical facility is a unique medical institution that treats dual diagnosis of chronic pain with chemical dependency.  Bay Recovery has five residential homes and a separate integrated complete medical center for treatment.  My responsibilities were to consult with the patients and treat them in the integrated medical program with complete Traditional Chinese Medicine modalities, Pharmaceutical grade vitamins, nutraceuticals, diet consultations, meditation, qi gong, and lifestyle interventions.  I taught weekly meditation and nutrition classes for the residential patients.

GMCAC is a new state of the art acupuncture clinic, which is located inside the Grossmont Medical Center in San Diego, California. GMCAC is dedicated to providing the highest level of standards of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Focusing on Orthopedic, sport related injuries, internal medicine, pain management, workers compensation and general well being, GMCAC integrates Eastern and Western medicine by establishing strong alliances and relationships with Western Medical doctors. Acupuncture-Longshen P.C., (9/1997-2005)

Managed and placed acupuncturists in multi-medical disciplinary pain medicine clinics. Company goal was to expose acupuncture to the public on a large level.

* Successfully managed 14+ medical acupuncture office accounts.

* Treated patients utilizing acupuncture, Tui Na (Chinese therapeutic structural massage), and herbal remedies.

* Negotiated and marketed for the expansion of accounts.

* Responsible for the payroll of 14+ acupuncturists, supplies, covering the absentees, as well as the hiring and firing of employees.

  • Co-founder of Premier Medical Billing, inc.  This was an acupuncture medical billing company that I created to supply all billing and collection needs for my multiple acupuncture accounts. Oversaw day-to-day operations.

DNA – Doctorate Neuroscience Acupuncture:
Completed the internationally accredited Doctorate Neuroscience Acupuncture degree as the second graduate of the program. This newly created DNA degree is the first Doctorate degree in the US, and the world, that focuses solely on neuroscience, evidence-based acupuncture evaluation, treatment plan, and prescriptions. Neuropuncture, Inc is very proud to have partnered with Akamai University to create and execute this advanced Doctorate degree that supports the acupuncture profession and helps bring it to the forefront of mainstream medicine where it belongs.

Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Graduate of the first USA class. This program is a two and half year, full-time, program consisting of but not limited to the integration of Eastern and Western medicine, translation and the study of the five Classical Chinese medical texts, research and medical statistics, specialization areas (neuromuscular), and integrated medical clinical rounds. Continuing education includes annual attendance of the Pacific Symposium. This is one of the largest Chinese medical symposium in which it’s focus is new clinical applications, scientific understandings and speakers from around the world.

Studied inside the Fertility Medical Center and Dermatology ward. In this special department we witnessed an interesting integration of ancient medical philosophy and present medical scientific advancements in genetics. IVF integrated with traditional Chinese herbal prescriptions, acupuncture, hormone therapy- bio identical and herbal prescriptions. The success ration and theory were quite impressive.

Richard Niemtzow is the creator of Battlefield Acupuncture and has been instrumental in exposing acupuncture to some of our highest level of government officials, and it is an honor to be a part of his research team.
