– Low back pain
– Sciatica and radiculopathy
– Peripheral neuropathy
– Carpal tunnel
– Trigeminal neuralgia
UnlocK the Power of Neuropuncture:
Discover the Intersection of Neuroscience and Acupuncture
Join us in Tempe, AZ for an exciting Neuropuncture live workshop on low back pain, sciatica and neuropathies! We will explore the Neuropuncture 21st century integration of neuroscience and how it is easily applied to acupuncture.
You will learn orthopedic and neurological testing for low back pain and sciatica, along with practical hands-on approaches to treatment. We will also dive into the latest prescriptions for peripheral neuropathy, carpal tunnel syndrome, and trigeminal neuralgia. There will be plenty of hands-on practice so that these prescriptions can be used in clinical practice the next day!
MASTER TARGETED TREATMENTS FOR
Pain & Orthopedic Conditions
Apply evidence-based Neuropuncture prescriptions for sciatica, peripheral neuropathy, and trigeminal neuralgia while gaining the neuroscientific language to communicate clinical results with confidence. By mastering pathophysiology and orthopedic/neurological testing, you will implement targeted treatments for nerve entrapments and low back pain grounded in modern neuroscience.
Adopt Neuroscience Acupuncture
Experience a hands-on exploration of how Neuropuncture targets the central and peripheral nervous systems to neuro-regulate maladaptive pain pathways. By bridging neuroanatomy with clinical practice, you will master the pathophysiology and neurological testing required to implement prescriptions that directly influence nerve conduction and neuro-inflammation for conditions from sciatica to trigeminal neuralgia.
Develop Clinical Expertise
Gain the practical skills necessary to develop targeted neuromodulation treatment plans. In this immersive, hands-on workshop you will master specific Neuropuncture prescriptions engineered to decompress nerve entrapments, modulate pain signaling, and restore neurological function for patients suffering from both acute and chronic nerve-related pathologies.
Communicate with Confidence
Learn to effectively communicate the neuroscience and clinical rationale behind your treatments for neuromusculoskeletal and nerve-related conditions. By mastering the ability to explain Neuropuncture mechanisms to patients and modern healthcare providers, you will build strong referral relationships and expand your practice within the neurology and orthopedic communities.
WHY ATTEND
The Professional Gap
Many practitioners struggle to explain how acupuncture works to skeptical patients and Western MDs, often falling back on abstract concepts that don’t translate in a medical setting. This lack of biological clarity can lead to inconsistent clinical results and “referral anxiety.”
End Clinical Uncertainty
Stop wondering if your treatment will “fire” correctly. Gain hands-on mastery of Neuropuncture prescriptions designed to produce predictable, repeatable biological responses. You won’t just learn point locations—you will understand exactly which neural pathways you are modulating to resolve low back pain, sciatica, and nerve entrapments.
Speak the Language of Modern Medicine
While traditional concepts have their place, they can leave you isolated from the broader healthcare system. We provide the 21st-century neuroscientific insights and Orthopedic and Neurological Exam (ONE) skills you need to communicate your value to neurologists and orthopedic surgeons. Positioning your results through pathophysiology and nerve conduction science makes you an essential specialist in the medical community.
Master Complex Pain and Neuropathic Cases
Complex conditions like peripheral neuropathy and trigeminal neuralgia can be intimidating without a clear biological framework. Elevate your practice by mastering evidence-based prescriptions that target the root neurological dysfunctions of these conditions. By bridging science facts with clinical features, you will transform your approach to radiculopathy and chronic pain into high-level clinical excellence.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This workshop is designed to elevate the clinical "biological" reasoning of the entire acupuncture profession.
Veteran Practitioners
Refine your existing expertise with a modern, scientific layer that strengthens your clinical authority. By integrating neuroscience-based prescriptions and neurological testing, you can produce the predictable outcomes necessary to boost patient retention and medical referrals.
Recent Graduates
Bridge the gap between academic theory and private practice with “Monday-morning-ready” skills. Master the orthopedic and neurological exams (ONE) and neuromodulation techniques required to yield immediate, high-level results for your new patient base.
Senior Acupuncture Students
Gain a competitive edge before entering the professional field. Master the pathophysiology of common conditions and the hands-on application of electro-acupuncture to hit the ground running upon licensure. (Please note: Limited seats are reserved for students to ensure an optimal instructor-to-student ratio.)
MEET YOUR
Instructor
Bart Vermilya, L.Ac., CN
Neuropuncture Instructor in training
Driven by the need to de-stress from a high-pressure career, Bart Vermilya initially turned to martial arts. While providing some stress relief, his martial arts pursuits became increasingly competitive, ultimately leading to a serious injury. Seeking a path to healing, Bart discovered Chinese Medicine.
The profound relief and healing he experienced ignited his curiosity about the body’s inherent capacity for self-repair. As a civil engineer and telecommunications analyst, Bart possessed a unique skillset: analyzing and resolving complex systems. Recognizing the human body as an intricate network of interconnected systems, he found a deep resonance with the principles and practices of Chinese Medicine. This realization sparked a career shift, leading him to pursue acupuncture.
Bart graduated with a Master’s degree from the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture (PIHMA) and is a licensed acupuncturist in Michigan. His expertise extends beyond acupuncture, encompassing Tui Na (Chinese massage) and Seifukujitsu (“say-fu-ku-jitsu”), a Japanese bodywork technique used by martial artists for injury recovery.
With over three years of dedicated study, Bart has completed Level-One Clinical Neuropuncture. His exceptional aptitude for this specialized field was evident from the start, and he quickly grasped the intricate neuroscience underlying acupuncture. Bart is now an integral part of the Neuropuncture, Inc and team is thrilled to welcome him as he shares his knowledge and expertise in this cutting-edge field of electrical acupuncture neuromodulation.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Bart enjoys teaching martial arts, Tai Chi, and Qi Chong. He is an avid outdoorsman, finding solace in camping and hiking. Most importantly, he cherishes spending quality time with family and friends.

“The training finally gave me the confidence to start using more electro acupuncture in my clinic. I do feel much more confident when it comes to orthopedic cases. Electro acupuncture and orthopedic cases were sort of my Nemesis since before finishing school. I always excelled in internal medicine but now I finally feel comfortable treating other cases. Thank you!”

“This is an amazing course. I have been to many trainings, and this is by far the best. It also helped me improve some of my needling techniques. I have already implemented some of the prescriptions with my patients with great success and with less than 8 needles. I look forward to attending more workshops in the near future.”
