Bart Vermilya

Bart Vermilya, L.Ac., CN

Neuropuncture Instructor in training

Driven by the need to de-stress from a high-pressure career, Bart Vermilya initially turned to martial arts. While providing some stress relief, his martial arts pursuits became increasingly competitive, ultimately leading to a serious injury. Seeking a path to healing, Bart discovered Chinese Medicine.

The profound relief and healing he experienced ignited his curiosity about the body’s inherent capacity for self-repair. As a civil engineer and telecommunications analyst, Bart possessed a unique skillset: analyzing and resolving complex systems. Recognizing the human body as an intricate network of interconnected systems, he found a deep resonance with the principles and practices of Chinese Medicine. This realization sparked a career shift, leading him to pursue acupuncture.

Bart graduated with a Master’s degree from the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture (PIHMA) and is a licensed acupuncturist in Michigan. His expertise extends beyond acupuncture, encompassing Tui Na (Chinese massage) and Seifukujitsu (“say-fu-ku-jitsu”), a Japanese bodywork technique used by martial artists for injury recovery.

With over three years of dedicated study, Bart has completed Level-One Clinical Neuropuncture. His exceptional aptitude for this specialized field was evident from the start, and he quickly grasped the intricate neuroscience underlying acupuncture. Bart is now an integral part of the Neuropuncture, Inc and team is thrilled to welcome him as he shares his knowledge and expertise in this cutting-edge field of electrical acupuncture neuromodulation.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Bart enjoys teaching martial arts, Tai Chi, and Qi Chong. He is an avid outdoorsman, finding solace in camping and hiking. Most importantly, he cherishes spending quality time with family and friends.

“Learning Neuropuncture has been a definite game changer for me as an Acupuncture Physician. The alliance of Neuropuncture, scalp acupuncture, electric auriculotherapy with the western medical knowledge of neuroscience and neurological rehabilitation produce remarkable results with just a few needles and bears no comparison with practicing solely traditional acupuncture.”

“I've been using Neuropuncture in my practice solidly for about a month now, and one of the great things I've noticed is many of the patients that I've treated in the past are starting to come back in for treatment due to someone talking about their treatment with me. My clinic has been built entirely from word of mouth, and at the moment it feels like this has been supercharged. I can only put it down to me loving doing Neuropuncture so much and getting some really positive results.”
